Lyrics - Touch the Sky

10. Copious Vision © 2007
Words and music by Deborah Jeanne Weitzman

Copious vision the goodness cooked through
In a time straight from heaven
That the fairies danced to
Not easy to laugh without worries or strife
In this slightly burnt version of a backwards lived life
(2nd – I just want to laugh without worries or strife

  • and believe in your version of how you do life)
  • Do values get twisted in the need to be safe
  • To show we believe you, that we’re not afraid
  • In fact its quite foolish to be self assured
  • For trouble is useful, so that we don’t get bored

But the trouble must stop at a place that we like
So we can predict what will come down the pike
It’s very discerning to watch all the news
For the world that we see now, is not what we’d choose

  • There are all sorts of colors quite new to our nose
  • That we’d like to assemble in neat tidy rows

And you - are you sleeping or tying to rest?
Do you feel disconnected with this new form of test

  • The answers are tricky, the question’s not clear
  • And who do we trust now, and who do we fear?

For fearing is angry the trusting now blind
And you - are you floating, or losing you mind?
